Vietnam 2000: Because any restaurant that lacks the foresight to name themselves something so ridiculous deserves all the marketing help they can get. They have been serving us po' folk forever and rarely raise prices -- if that's not community support, I don't know what is. But c'mon guys, they have paintings of 80s horses as decor. Luckyboy Chinese and Hamburgers : Ive been going here off and on since i was young enough to see the bottom of the tables. They are not fancy, but they are extremely nice and friendly, and a prime example of people who care about the community and customers in general. Le Paris French Bakery: At this cafe the atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the food is great. It's the perfect place to go for anything from lunch with the co-workers, breakfast with the family, or even just a warm pastery by yourself. RASOI: Rasoi is a locally owned East Indian Restaurant, with great food. Although it is beautiful inside, there is much more room for improvement. High Noon Restaurant & Saloon: Local family restaurant in Old Town over 35 years. New menu featuring coriander cured steaks, crab stuffed rellenos and and over 20 different tequilas. Need a makeover because they are in an old haunted adobe building that needs a face lift. They aren't on the plaza so they are harder to find. ATEACO: ATEACO is a great place to not only have a great glass of tea and sandwich, it is a peaceful place to unwind and they also offer free internet service. They also cater to those needing gluten free items. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. It is home owned and operated, thus deserving the makeover. EL POLLO REAL COLOMBIANO: Is the only restaurant with Colombian food, unique food. To be in the part of town they are located is not easy, they had change the face of this part of town. Monroe's: Monroe's on Lomas has been around since the 60s and still looks about the same. It could use a real facelift.
